Safeguarding Children and Schools explains how schools are able to contribute to keeping children safe from harm and promoting their welfare, in line with Government Every Child Matters guidelines.

Professional Social Work
Mary Baginsky is Head of Research at the Children's Workforce Development Council. She was previously a senior research officer for the NSPCC and a senior consultant at GHK Consulting. She has many years' experience as an educational researcher, and, at NSPCC, developed a programme of research on the role of education and child protection and safeguarding and evaluated many educational /social care initiatives, contributing to the development of policy within the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
