However, in this book the authors argue for a radically new approach to the whole service, based on the model developed by Helen Laverty, which she calls 'Hello, This is Me'. Community Care
Helen Laverty is a registered nurse who has worked with people with a learning disability for twenty years. Mary Reet is a children's nurse with similar experience. Both also lecture in health care at the University of Nottingham and have written numerous book chapters and articles in their fields of expertise.
