Abstract

Lipid disorders are highly heterogeneous and widely prevalent throughout the world. Dyslipidemia is an important risk factor for atherosclerotic disease and its clinical sequelae, including myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, and death. The impact of dyslipidemia treatment on risk for cardiovascular disease is one of the most intensively studied issues in all of medicine.
