Abstract

This book Poisoning in Children is written as a practical guide in the field of pediatric toxicology and especially styled to provide rapid access to important information. This edition represents major revision and reorganization. Three new chapters have been added and chapters on scorpion bite, snake bite, organophosphorus, hydrocarbon, lead, and arsenic have been completely revised. Obsolete materials have been eliminated and replaced by new text that reflects the modern trend in management of principal victims. However, care has been taken to retain the original format, style and rapid access to important information. The new chapters on mushroom, celphos, jatropha, podophyllin, Dapsone and baclofen should prove immensely useful for undergraduates, postgraduates, pediatricians and general practitioners.
