Abstract

Doody Rating : 3 stars : The book is mainly published for the postgraduate students, resident doctors, cardiologists and practicing physicians. This book has provided new texts and new topics of clinical electrocardiography. The ECGs are original and colored, explain the text on the subject discussed. The main emphasis has again been laid on the chapters of conduction disturbance, arrhythmias and pacemakers. It is also useful for the postgraduate students who intend to pursue further studies in cardiology. The book acts as a ready-reckoners for the physicians during the practice hours. The electrocardiography though a basic bedside investigation and a gold standard for diagnosis of rhythm and conduction disturbances, is a neglected subject in the field of cardiology. The unique aspect of this edition is that it covers certain chapters which are not discussed in details in certain standard textbooks of electrocardiography. One additional chapter has been added on pre-arrest arrhythmias and cardiac resuscitation based on recommendations made by European Resuscitation Council endorsed by British Resuscitation Council.
